The Collection is growing.
These 2 photos (below) were submitted by Pat Van Hoy Crow on 07-31-09.
We know John Van Hoy & Phil Wolfe are 2 of these long haired hippies... Can you pick them out?
What was the name of the Band?
was their name "KENDRA"?
I hear they were VERY Good !

 "The Younger Generation" Band -
below

Please email me the year and place this photo was taken  email:   jackstebbins@usaeast.com

UPDATE:

Rick Vanhoy knows the origin of this photo as noted below:

Yep, I'm pretty sure it's the Olde Mill in Farmville, VA. It was Nov. of '68 and it snowed that night. We pulled the trailer home behind Bryan's blue Galaxie and it was a white-knuckle drive because the roads were pretty slick. Good times for sure.

Rick Van Hoy "1970" - WOW, check out the ZITTS !

Can't Imagine why that car is THERE !   around "1969" good year!
I could be wrong on the year, Pat or Donna could help me there :-)

"The Cellars Band"

These photos were taken around 1970, several members have re-united in Acoustic Bay Band.

Bo Newcomb "1970" Lawrencville, VA -
That organ is HEAVY, we carried it with us everywhere...
Check out the "Roll and Pleat"  "Kustom PA Speaker" in the background,
looks like the back seat of a 57 chevy

The Following Pictures are of the Cellars Band
Taken at the Chase City, Virginia - Country Club Around "1970"
Ronnie Newcomb found these pictures at his home
                   along with all the negatives.
Anyone want prints? Contact Ronnie !

Left to Right - Butch Newcomb - John Van Hoy - Tommy McWhite - Peter Boswell - Bo Newcomb - Ronnie Newcomb - Keith Mitchell - Jack Stebbins

Now that's a cool bunch that had a cool sound  ! "1970"

Keith Mitchell - John Van Hoy   "Lawrenceville, VA 1970"

Ronnie Newcomb "1970" and he is still at it in 2007 !

"1971" at a college fraternity house in Richmond VA, just before we started playing.
This is where they had a short skirt contest and the Winner didn't bother to put on a skirt !!
When she came down the steps, I forgot all the words of the song (not unusual for me)
and Mitchell's eyes looked just like they do in this picture !

Look at the size of those amps - No wonder my ears ring so bad now !!

That's all for now. Thanks to Ronnie Newcomb for a GREAT contribution to this page !
Pass this along to our friends, it's fun to look back.
I would love to have some pictures of  "The Younger Generation Band" and also "Fire"
Any contributions, email me at jackstebbins@usaeast.com
To all my wonderful friends, "Live Long and Prosper"
